Wet Weather Moves Into The Desert

Rain has made its way into the Coachella Valley! An active radar will continue throughout much of this Saturday.

As of 8AM, rainfall totals are remaining low with hundredths of an inch being recorded for many cities.

Rain and snow will continue to be a big part of this Saturday across the Southland. A gradual tapering will take place into the evening.

Estimates for rainfall accumulation by the end of the day range from a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch on average. Isolated higher amounts are possible.

A Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect for local mountains with snow levels dropping to 5,500 feet and several inches expected to accumulate over 6,000′. Plan on difficult travel conditions if you’re heading up the mountain.

Clouds will continue to be a big part of our forecast through the next week as a series of storms are aimed at California.
