Date Palm Dr. and Vista Chino back open

All lanes on Date Palm and Vista Chino are back open to traffic. All road closures have been lifted.

Update 10 p.m.

Date Palm & Vista Chino is back open. Some blockages are still in place, notably, Date Palm southbound from Adelinta to Tachevah. One block south of Vista Chino remains closed as well.

4:40 p.m.

The intersection Date Palm Drive and Vista Chino in Cathedral City is closed, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A News Channel 3 team in the area observed flooding of the surrounding area.
