Woman displaced after fire destroys her home

A woman has been displaced after a structure fire.

Firefighters from the Palm Springs Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at a home on the 20 block of Cardova Court in Cathedral City.

First responders on scene told News Channel 3 officers had gone to do a well fair check on the woman. Officers noticed that the power was off at the home and attempting to see what the problem was. Officers saw that it appeared that the circuit breaker had been tripped. Resetting the circuit breaker set of a spark that quickly engulfed the home.

No one was injured in the fire. The displaced woman will be staying with friends, first responders confirmed.
