Cheryl Hines kicks off 2019 Rancho Mirage speaker series
Two-time Emmy-nominated actress Cheryl Hines will begin the 2019 Rancho Mirage speaker series tonight at the Eisenhower Health campus.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the lecture at the Helene Galen Auditorium at the Annenberg Health Sciences Building starting at 7 p.m.
Hines received best-supporting actress in a comedy series Emmy nominations in 2003and 2006 for her portrayal of Cheryl David on HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
Hines later was a cast member of the ABC comedies “In the Motherhood” and “Suburgatory” and the Fox hybrid live-action/animated comedy “Son of Zorn.”
“Happy Days” star Harry Winkler was originally scheduled to appear as Tuesday’s speaker but canceled last month due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
Other speakers slated for the 2019 series include internist and addiction medicine specialist Drew Pinsky, best known as radio and television host “Dr. Drew,” on Feb. 26, and Elizabeth Vargas, former anchor of “20/20” on March 26.

For an extra $35, guests can attend a VIP speaker reception, that includes a meet and greet with Hines, as well as the Rancho Mirage City Council and the Speaker Series commissioners.
