Veterans job fair to be held in Riverside

Recruiters from the public and private sectors will be conducting interviews and possibly making tentative employment offers during a job fair for veterans tomorrow at the Riverside Municipal Auditorium.

The four-hour event is slated to begin at 11 a.m. and will involve 30 entities, according to Loveland, Ohio-based RecruitMilitary, which is sponsoring the fair.

Exhibitors scheduled to be on hand include Allstate, Amerit Fleet Solutions, FireMaster, Intel Corp., LiveNation, Lockheed Martin Corp., Riverside County Department of Human Resources, San Bernardino County Probation Department, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and US Vets.

According to RecruitMilitary, Allstate alone has nearly 750 positions that it’s trying to fill.

Organizers said Google’s new jobs search tool, designed specifically for military veterans, will be used as part of the recruitment process.

Registration for the fair is free, and qualifying applicants are encouraged to sign up online, at this link.
