Indian Canyon Dr. reopens in Palm Springs after 4-day closure
Indian Canyon Drive has reopened at the wash in Palm Springs, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.
The closure, which spanned from Tramview Road and Interstate 10, went into effect on Saturday night.
Over the past several days, the crews had been working to clear the mud and debris that led to the closure.
“The storms are a benefit to our area in bringing rainfall but they cause problems with the debris and mudflows that close the roads and require cleanup,” Marcus Fuller, assistant city manager for the City of Palm Springs, said.

The closure caused issues for those that frequented the road.
“So I have to go down to the next off ramp. I had to do that twice today and then make my way back,” said Allan Valenscia of Morongo Valley.
