Giraffe mural unveiled at ‘The Gardens on El Paseo’

A giraffe mural was unveiled Friday morning at ‘The Gardens on El Paseo.’

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, in conjunction with the Cty of Palm Desert and El Paseo, unveiled the 15-foot tall mural called “What Lifts You Giraffe – Palm Desert.”

Inside the black and white artwork, you can also see another giraffe, a cheetah, an agave, and a palm tree.

The mural was done by artist Kelsey Montague, who has created street art murals around the world including Poland, Ireland, Netherlands, and Spain.

“It’s fun to see how people respond and come up with their own creative reaction and really become part of the art themselves. It’s really amazing. people are always great and they take it a step further. it’s fun,” Montague said.
