Tour de Palm Springs is underway
Thousand of bicyclists have taken over several valley roadways as the 2019 Tour de Palm Springs gets underway. Law enforcement will be out in force helping to keep the race safe, but if you are driving anywhere around the valley today keep your eyes open for bicyclists. Below is a list of some of the major road closures you may encounter.
Tour de Palm Springs road closures this Friday and Saturday (Courtesy of City of Palm Springs):
3:00 am: #2 northbound lane of Indian Canyon from Alejo to Vista Chino will be closed #2 lane on Alejo between Indian Canyon & Palm Canyon will be coned Southbound Palm Canyon west onto Alejo will be detoured 6:00 am: Alejo between Caballeros & Indian will be closed. Detour signs will be placed at Alejo & Caballeros to northbound Caballeros. 7:30 am: #2 westbound lane of Dinah Shore will be closed Stop signs at Tachevah & Cerritos Stop signs at Cerritos & Alejo Stop signs at Civic & Civic 8:00 am: Tahquitz between the Canyons will be closed 8:30 am: Caballeros between Baristo & Tahquitz will be closed Eastbound Tahquitz at El Segundo will be closed #1 wb lane of Tahquitz between Caballeros & Indian will be closed 10:00 am: Switch taper at Alejo Detour southbound Palm Canyon to Eastbound Alejo Pick up at Indian Canyon lane closure Switch palm canyon taper back for southbound Palm Canyon. Traffic to go east or westbound onto Alejo road
