Deputies seek public’s help finding man last seen in Yucca Valley

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is seeking the public’s help finding a 68-year-old man last seen on February 7 in Yucca Valley.

According to a Sheriff’s Department news release, John Downey was last seen around 11:45 p.m. walking west away from the Walmart located at 58501 Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley toward Avalon Avenue and Highway 62. D

Downey is 5’08”, weighs 180 pounds, has gray hair and blue eyes. He has a sunrise tattoo on his left arm, wears eye glasses, and has dentures. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, dark shoes, a dark-colored flannel shirt, and a black down jacket.

He reportedly appeared to be disoriented after he left the store and has several medical conditions which require medication.
