Man arrested for DUI after crashing car into garage

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a man early this morning for DUI after he crashed a car through the garage of a residence in Twentynine Palms.

At 12:39 a.m., deputies and California Highway Patrol officers responded to the intersection of Sullivan Road and Morongo Road for a report of a vehicle crashed into a residence. Upon arrival, they found extensive damage to the garage of a residence on the 7200 block of Sullivan Road, and a gray Nissan Altima in the front yard, also damaged.

The driver, Twentynine Palms resident Nathan Pfeifer, 23, was arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence and booked into Morongo Basin Jail. His passenger sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the collision.
