Two arrested following mail theft & forgery investigation
Officers from the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team arrested Arturo Sanchez, 35, of Indio and Jacqueline Lechuga, 25, of Bermuda Dunes Wednesday in Indio.
Officers, along with United States Postal Service Inspectors, served a search warrant at an undisclosed location in Indio. Several stolen items and equipment were recovered.
Sanchez has been booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio for check fraud, forgery, mail theft, burglary, and violation of probation. Lechuga has been booked for conspiracy at the Riverside County Jail in Indio Jail.
