Indian Canyon Drive reopens week after historic storm
Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs has reopened at the wash.
The thoroughfare, which serves as a major artery connecting Palm Springs to both Interstate 10 and Desert Hot Springs, was closed for over a week due to heavy rains and flooding caused by a storm that rolled through the region on Valentine’s Day.
The Desert Hot Springs section of Indian Canyon Drive reopened on February 19.
Much of the roadway at the wash had become inundated with mud and flood waters during the storm which dumped a historic amount of rain on the valley.
