Two arrested after allegedly being found in stolen vehicle

Two men were arrested after allegedly being found in a stolen vehicle.

According to a news release by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, today at around 5 p.m., officers with the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted a vehicle check in the 2000 block of Miles Avenue in Indio

Officers determined the vehicle had been stolen.

Noe Holguin, 28 and his passenger, Nicolas Ortiz, 24, both from Indio, were arrested. Officers say both Holguin and Ortiz are documented criminal street gang members.

Holguin was arrested for vehicle theft and violation of parole. Ortiz was arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of parole. Both subjects were booked at the Indio Jail.
