Sheriff’s deputies investigating shooting in Thousand Palms

Update (Sunday, 9:22 PM): Sheriff’s department tells News Channel 3 they are “clearing the scene”. Still no information on a suspect, and there is no word yet on wether anyone was injured in the shooting.

Update: Sheriff’s investigators confirm they are investigating a shooting in Thousand Palms. They have not yet found a victim, and have not provided information on a possible suspect. Detectives say shell casings were found at the scene.

Initial report:

People calling the newsroom at News Channel Three are reporting they heard shots fired in a residential area of Thousand Palms around 5:00 Sunday night.

One caller said the shots were heard in the area of Las Flores Way and La Canada.
