Hidden camera found at CVUSD District office

Another case of hidden cameras was reported in the Coachella Valley Unified School District.

CVUSD Assistant Superintendent Maria G. Gandera confirmed an employee put a camera into the district office for personal reasons without authorization.

Last week, a hidden camera was found inside a classroom at Saul Martinez Elementary School. The spokesperson said the two incidents are unrelated.

The original camera found at the elementary school is still being investigated.

Gandera also confirmed no cameras have been found at any other CVUSD schools. CVUSD teachers have been urged to be vigilant about checking for illegal cameras in their classrooms.
