“Walking on Legos” event raises money for children with special needs

Children’s Services of the Desert hosted their second annual ” Walking on Legos ” event at La Quinta High School raising money for children with special needs.

The event featured activities for kids of all ages including life-size games, photobooths , food, music, vendors, raffles and, of course, lots of Legos .

” The event is about having a great fun, family afternoon. Everybody loves Legos so we created a Lego theme. Last year was our first a year, and we really wanted it to be something for children and families, and to raise money for a good cause, ” said Marcey Utter, Executive Director, Children’s Services of the Desert.

All funds raised at the event will go towards helping Coachella Valley families pay for speech and language therapy for kids with special needs.
