Two men arrested for Anza murder, victim identified
Two men have been arrested for the murder of an Anza man on June 4.
28-year-old Maxwell Reynolds and 27-year-old Brandon Pollard were arrested over two days for the murder of 61-year-old Khamsene Singolay.
On June 4, Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Anza Fire station located at 56560 Highway 371 for a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Cal Fire personnel administered medical aid to the man, later identified as Singolay, but he was pronounced dead before deputies arrived on scene. After Singolay died, Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit detectives took over the investigation.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives determined that the shooting occurred in the area of Trip Flats Road and Bautista Canyon in Anza.
On June 7, Reynolds, an Anza resident, was identified as one of the murder suspects and was arrested. He faces a charge of second-degree murder and is set to appear in court at the Riverside Hall of Justice on June 12. According to county jail records, Reynolds was arrested at Riverside University Health System’s Moreno Valley location.
On June 8, Pollard, an Escondido resident, was arrested near the intersection of 36th and Meade Avenue in San Diego, according to county jail records.
Pollard is being held on no bail and Reynolds is being held on $1,000,000 bail.
