Suspect arrested in deadly Palm Desert shooting
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed two people were killed in a shooting in Palm Desert.
According to a Tweet by the Riverside County Sheriffs Department, deputies first received reports of a shooting at approximately 1:54 p.m. in the community of Desert Breezes, a gated community on the 43000 block of West Calle Las Brisas, near the intersection of Fred Waring Drive and Washington Street.
Deputies arrived at the location and found two adults deceased inside a residence. One adult male suspect. later identified as Frank Castro III, 32, was taken into custody in front of the residence, police confirmed.
Castro was booked for two counts of homicide. There are no other suspects being sought.
Authorities did not release any details on Castro’s connection to the two victims.
The two victims have not been identified, authorities will release that information after first of kin is notified.
