Palm Springs Planning Commission discusses zoning codes for cannabis-related use

The City of Palm Springs Planning Commission invited the community to an open discussion over cannabis-related odors as the growth of businesses continues. The meeting was scheduled on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in City Hall.

During the session, both residents and business owners in Palm Springs had the chance to voice any of their concerns. Palm Springs City Council gave the Planning Commission four areas of focus to discuss with the public. Those included saturation issues, waiver criteria from separation distance requirements, notification requirements, and architectural review requirements.

The Planning Commission will bring the suggestions to the Council as they revise the current ordinance. The next meeting is scheduled for September 25, 2019.
