Wanted suspect in custody in Desert Hot Springs

A wanted suspect is in custody following an hour-long search in Desert Hot Springs.

Law enforcement was searching the area of Verbena Drive and Ironwood Drive, according to DHSPD. Viewers have called into the newsroom reporting a helicopter flying over the area for the past hour.

Authorities did not disclose what the suspect was wanted for, but they were placed into custody shortly before 6 p.m.
