PSPD’s K9 Max retires after 7 years on the force

1-14-PSPD-MAX-3

Sunday marked a very special canine's last day serving Palm Springs.

K9 Max, who has served with the Palm Springs Police Department for the last seven years, had his last shift with his partner, Officer Sanders, on Sunday.

"After seven years of dedicated service to his community, countless surrenders, and several apprehensions, K9 Max worked his final shift and definitely earned his retirement," reads PSPD's release. "Looks like lots of treats and pampering ahead for this sweet boy as he gets adjusted to the lazy dog life at home with his family. Well done boy, well done!"

Cheers and a very happy retirement to K9 Max, the very best boy.
