Fans honor Kobe Bryant at candlelight vigil in Indio

Kobe Bryant fans gathered at the Indio Grand Marketplace on Friday night to pay tribute to fallen NBA superstar.

Fans lit candles and placed them in front a wreath honoring Kobe and his daughter Gigi.

Fans spoke about their favorite Kobe memories and highlights of his life were shown on a projector.

Indio Councilmember Waymond Fermon and Pastor Carl McPeters addressed attendees, helping people process the many emotions they're going through.

"We live in a new normal now, but love, commitment to family can overcome everything," McPeters said.
