March Air Reserve Base in Riverside County is setting up three additional large tents at the base in preparation for the possible arrival of more Americans being evacuated from Wuhan, China, the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak.

News Channel 3 is told the tents could be used for the arrival of any planes that are not able to land in their primary or secondary destinations.

According to Riverside County officials, the tents would only be used for medical screenings.

This is in response to a request from from the U.S. Department of Defense and the Department of Health and Human Services for support for 1,000 people that may need to be quarantined.

The development comes as Chinese officials report 361 people in China have died from the Coronavirus.
