One person seriously injured in crash on Highway 86 in Thermal

One person is seriously injured after a van overturned on Highway 86 near Avenue 76 in Thermal.

The crash was reported at 5:05 Saturday night.

One person was laying on the ground when rescue crews arrived.

Southbound lanes on the highway were closed down.

The injured person is being airlifted to an area hospital.

There is no word yet on how the crash happened.
