Probationer accused of resisting arrest, possessing burglary tools

A probationer was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in Coachella.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to a suspicious circumstance in the area of 7th Street and Tripoli Way at approximately 1:55 p.m.

Deputies arrived at the scene and made contact with four subjects, including 29-year-old Cruz Cruz, a Coachella resident. Not long after, deputies attempted to arrest Cruz, however, he allegedly resisted arrest, before being taken into custody without further incident.

Details on what led to Cruz being arrested remain limited, however, the other three subjects were released at the scene.

Cruz remains held without bail at Indio Jail.
