CATHEDRAL CITY SENIOR CENTER

Congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz and Riverside County health officials will hold a session with seniors on Friday afternoon regarding the Coronavirus.

The information session will be held at Cathedral City Senior Center from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The purpose of the session will be to provide the latest update on the virus, the best practices for staying healthy, and show the efforts that County, State, and Federal governments are taking to keep the population safe from the Coronavirus.

Older residents are among those with a higher risk of being impacted by the Coronavirus.

There are still no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the Coachella Valley and Riverside County.

On Thursday, county health officials joined city officials in Palm Springs for a news conference updating residents on the Coronavirus and calm public fears here in the valley. Among the speakers was Dr. Cameron Kaiser, Riverside County’s Public Health Officer, County Supervisor Manuel Perez and Palm Springs Mayor Geoff Kors.

Officials mentioned that our valley's big events are still set to go as planned, however, they are taking additional measures to protect residents.
