Worker at the La Quinta Post Office tests positive for coronavirus
An employee at the La Quinta Post Office tested positive for coronavirus this week, The U.S. Postal Service confirmed on Wednesday.
A U.S. Postal Service representative wrote in a statement that they were notified of the results on Monday.
The U.S. Postal Service believes the risk is low for employees who work at the La Quinta Post Office. The office remains open at this time.
The Centers for Disease Control and the U.S. Surgeon General have indicated that there is currently no evidence that coronavirus can spread through the mail and packages.
