Mother’s Day flower deliveries for well-deserving moms in the valley

It’s the perfect day to celebrate mom with flowers on Mother’s Day.

News Channel 3’s Caitlin Thropay followed a flower delivery truck to see some of the special deliveries to some very deserving mothers.
We started out at Rancho Mirage Florist, hopped in the delivery van and off we went to deliver flowers to well-deserving mothers in our community.
We delivered a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to our first incredible mother, Suzie Jensen.
“I love these flowers! They remind me of Hawaii," Jensen said.
We asked her what her Mother’s Day plans are.
“We’re swimming and barbecuing and enjoying and thanking God for life today,” she said.
Jensen shared with us what the greatest pleasure of being a mother is.
“You don’t want to get me to cry," she said. "The best part about being a mother is seeing the byproduct of your child, becoming a man,” she said.
Suzie's son, Kyle shared some kind words about his mom.
“She’s the most incredible mother anyone could ever ask for," he said. "She’s my spartan mother. She’s a fighter, going through a lot right now fighting cancer with her chemotherapy, going through her fourth chemotherapy tomorrow so prayers to Suzie Jensen everybody,” he said.
On our next stop, we met Janet Blake. She’s a mother of three and grandmother of 10 grandkids!
“Aren’t they gorgeous?!” she said while receiving her flowers.
Even though this Mother’s Day is quite different, her family is still finding ways to make her feel special.
“We’re locked down but we’re on FaceTime all the time and I’ve gotten so many flowers and I’m just so happy. It’s a great day!” Blake said.
On our final stop, we met another amazing mom, Jayne Bartel.
“We’re getting ready to sit down at our little table and have our Mother’s Day brunch,” Bartel said.
She also expressed how challenging this Mother’s Day is in the midst of a pandemic.
“That’s why this year is so hard," she said. "Usually, we have everybody but the important thing is that we know this is just temporary,” Bartel added.
From all of us at KESQ we hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
