VIDEO: Protester injured during march in Downtown Los Angeles
Protesters have smashed the windows of two California Highway
Patrol cruisers on the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, and at least one protester appears to be injured on the freeway.
Video taken by the KABC Helicopter showed the injured protester riding on top of the CHP cruiser as protesters gathered around the cruiser.
One person breaking the cruiser's rear window with a skateboard. The officer began to drive-off with the protester still on top of the cruiser. The protester fell off as the cruiser drove away.
Protesters broke the windows of another CHP cruiser that came by shortly after the first incident.
First responders later went through the crowd and loaded the injured protester on an ambulance. The protester was moving and waving at the crowd.
According to KABC, hundreds of people marched through downtown Los Angeles in a Black Lives Matter protest over the death of George Floyd in Minnesota.
The 101 Freeway has been shut down.
