Hiker rescued from trail in Rancho Mirage

A hiker is hospitalized after experiencing a medical emergency while on the Bump and Grind Trail in Rancho Mirage.

The hiker was rescued just before noon Saturday and was airlifted to an area hospital.

There are no details on what happened to the hiker while on the trail.

The hiker is in serious condition.
