Red Cross called in as 6 units damaged in Palm Springs apartments fire

Palm Springs Firefighters were mopping up after an apartment complex fire that damaged 6 units Friday morning off San Rafael near Highway 111.

The Red Cross was also being called in to help residents who were displaced when a two-story building caught fire.

A hook and ladder truck was parked outside the Palm Springs Villas development, located on the 400 block of Villa Court.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 6:49 a.m.

A fire department spokesman told KESQ News Channel 3 there was no immediate word on the fire's cause, but there were no injuries suffered by either residents or firefighters on the scene.
