Suspect arrested in Friday Morning shooting in Desert Hot Springs

One person is in the hospital Friday after an early morning shooting in Desert Hot Springs. According to Desert Hot Springs Police, they were called to a possible shooting at a home on the 13-000 block of Sarita Drive just before 8:00 am.

When officers arrived they found a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers on scene say that one person was taken into custody without incident. A gun was also recovered on scene.

Desert Hot Springs Police had the neighborhood taped off with crime tape for a couple of hours while they investigated the crime. The identities of both the suspect and victim have not been released.
