Shadow Hills High School Choir joining Classic Rock band ‘Foreigner’ on stage at Fantasy Springs

It’s a once in a lifetime performance for Shadow Hill High School’s choir.

Students will be joining 80s rock band ‘Foreigner’ on stage at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino this weekend.

Zoe Fitch Salas, a choir member at Shadow Hills said, "I mean, I have been bragging a little bit. It's pretty cool. Like all my family knows about it."

It's a musical milestone.

Shadow Hills High School Choir will be joining the Classic Rock band on stage to harmonize to the iconic power ballad, 'I Want To Know What Love Is.'

Choir teacher, Grace Huscher said it’s her first year teaching at Shadow Hills.

The announcement making for a memorable first impression with her students.

Jayden Redewill, President of Shadow Hills High School's Choir said, "When Ms. Huscher actually said that we were first singing it. I was like, 'I don't know who Foreigner is.' But then when she played the song, I was like, 'Oh my god, I know that song.'"

Some family members are just as excited, "It's a big opportunity. And my mom and my grandma have told me about a lot about this band," said Redewill.

Choir Vice President, Brielle Woodford says the preparation has helped her and her classmates get in-sync on and off the stage, "We've made really fun memories, just with the concerts, and you know, all the preparation."

But that crescendo of excitement comes down every now and then for some serious training.

Choir member Bianca Ortega said, "It is a fun environment. But when it's time to work, we all put in the hard work that we need to do. We practice all together, and we make sure that all together we sound perfect."

The anticipated performance is already shaping up to be a high note.

"It's honestly gonna be something I remember forever. I will never ever forget about this," said Woodford.

Foreigner will also be donating $500 with the help of the ‘Grammy Foundation.’

You can see the students take the stage at Fantasy Springs this Saturday night.
