Desert Sands Unified students to honor local heroes with Thanksgiving feast

Students with the La Quinta High School Culinary Arts program are hosting a free holiday event for active duty military members, veterans and first responders.

It's taking place at the culinary building at 72995 Blackhawk Way from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. today.

During the fest, attendees will be served turkey, stuffing, veggies, and homemade bread provided by DSUSD board members and staff.
