The City of Rancho Mirage Emergency Preparedness Commission is hosting a readiness seminar on Monday, Feb. 26.

The seminar, titled "The First 72 Hours," will be held at the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory Community Room at 71-100 Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage.

"As a resident, do you know what to expect from first responders during the first 72 hours after a big earthquake hits the Coachella Valley?

Hear from a panel of public safety and industry professionals from CalFire, Riverside County Sheri's Department, Riverside County Emergency Management, Eisenhower Medical Center, Southern California Edison, the Coachella Valley Water District, and local non-profit Coachella Valley Disaster Preparedness Network (CVDPN)."

The event kicks of with a free reception 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM which will include free Brandini Tofee popcorn, mixed nuts, champagne, sparkling water. The presentation goes from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM with an opportunity for Q&A towards the end,
