Australian Open: Alcaraz gets the day session, Swiatek in the night session on Day 7
MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — Top-ranked Iga Swiatek will play a night match for the first time at this year’s Australian Open on Saturday when she meets Linda Noskova for a place in the round of 16. Swiatek rallied from 4-1 down in the deciding set against Danielle Collins in the previous round and is trying to win the Australian title for the first time. Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz continues his bid for a first Australian title in the day session against Shang Juncheng of China. No. 3 Daniil Medvedev is back in the night session against Felix Auger-Aliassime. Medvedev’s second-round match ended at 3:39 a.m. Friday local time.
