Luxury LGBTQ retirement community hosts grand opening event

A new LGBTQ retirement living facility is open in the desert.

Living Out Palm Springs hosted its grand opening on Tuesday.

This marks Southern California’s first and only luxury active adult community specifically designed for the LGBTQ community.

Loren Ostrow, one of the developers of Living Out, states, “Knowing that too many LGBTQ seniors live in unsafe or openly hostile environments, we wanted to address this issue that is near and dear to us. We have done so by creating a safe and beautiful community that meets the unique needs of our seniors as we begin the next chapter of our lives.”

The facility is resort-styled and caters to the 55+ age group.

The development offers both one and two-bedroom spaces, a rose garden, a pool, a spa, and a dog park, among other amenities.

Alice B. is the community’s restaurant and bar, with award-winning chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken providing a menu incorporating Mediterranean-leaning flavors.
