Southwest Arts Festival kicks off at Empire Polo Grounds

Get ready to take in the sounds, mixed mediums and colorful craftsmanship at this year's Southwest Arts Festival.

The event is known as one of the region's most popular art festivals, attracting more than 10,000 attendees year after year.

It begins Thursday, January 25 and runs until Sunday, January 28 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

More than 200 artists are featured during the 4-day event, with almost 400 booths of art displays.

There's something for everyone. The festival features a variety of mixed mediums from photography, hand blown glass, jewelry, painting, sculptures, woodwork, quilting and more.

Many of the artists are in attendance showcasing their work, offering a more personal experience for attendees.
