Big Bear bald eagle lays third egg

Friends of Big Bear Valley

And then there were three! Jackie the bald eagle laid her third egg Wednesday evening.

Officials with the Friends of Big Bear Valley said it's Jackie's first full three-egg clutch.

Jackie braved snowy conditions all day Thursday to protect her eggs.

Jackie laid her first egg on Jan 24. The second egg arrived on Jan. 29.

Eagle eggs typically incubate for about 35 days, officials said.
