Former President Trump rallies supporters in Coachella as 2024 campaign pushes forward

Former President Donald Trump is rallying supporters in Coachella on Saturday.

According to his campaign website, the rally is at Calhoun Ranch in Coachella on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Doors are scheduled to open at Noon.

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco several officers were at the rally to ensure attendees safety.

Local leaders attended the rally including La Quinta Councilmember Steve Sanchez.

"President Trump brings me out here," Sanchez said. "Trump is really a President for the people."

He said his visit brings more attention to the Coachella Valley.

"It brings people to the Coachella Valley, which is great for commerce," Sanchez said. "Whether you like Trump or not, it just spotlights the Coachella Valley."
