Two people displaced following Indio apartment fire
Two people were forced out of their homes after an apartment fire in Indio on Thursday evening.
The fire was reported around 5:00 p.m. off Arabia Street and Plaza Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from a four-unit complex.
It took crews less than an hour to knock out the blaze. Only one unit was affected, and the others were saved.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
