First Alert Weather Alert: Hot & Muggy Saturday as Extreme Heat Extends into Next Week

Not AS hot today-thanks to some higher dew points--but I'm still tracking dangerous heat into the weekend.

Our First Alert Weather Alert remains in effect, and the Extreme Heat Warning has been extended through 8 PM Tuesday, August 12th.

We're still tracking heat, smoke, and elevated wildfire risk. An Air Quality Alert remains in place, partially due to smoke from nearby fires, but especially because of increase ozone levels as a result of our relentless heatwave.

Today’s record is 121° and we’ll likely to stay below that this afternoon, but highs will still reach 110° to 116°, running 5–8° above normal. It's another day with a slight bump in humidity may cap off temps a bit—but it’ll still be very hot and it'll feel a little more uncomfortable.
