3 Palestinian gunmen killed by Israeli troops in West Bank violence
JERUSALEM (AP) — Palestinian health officials say three Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops. The Israeli military said Thursday that its troops carried out a raid in the Tulkarem refugee camp. It said that soldiers came under fire and that troops shot Palestinian gunmen. Palestinian officials said two militants were killed while Israel said five troops were wounded. Israeli forces shot a Palestinian gunman in the northern West Bank later in the day after he opened fire at an Israeli vehicle. A spiral of violence has gripped the occupied territory for more than 18 months.
