Locals celebrate college grads with a parade down El Paseo
Dozens of cars made their way down El Paseo Shopping District in Palm Desert Thursday evening, celebrating this year's college graduates.
Parents, friends, and loved ones decorated their cars, held out signs, and honked for their grads as the procession made its way down the famous Palm Desert road.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Class of 2020 will not get the traditional graduation ceremony they worked so hard for.
News Channel 3 and Telemundo 15 are teaming up with school districts throughout our area to honor these high school graduates.
Join us as we celebrate graduates from Desert Sands Unified School District, Palm Springs Unified School District, Coachella Valley Unified School District and other schools in Coachella Valley.
The ‘Salute to the class of 2020’ hour-long graduation special will air on KESQ and CBS Local 2 at 7:00 p.m. on May 22.
See it again on KDFX Fox Palm Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. A Spanish version will air on May 22 at 5:00 p.m. on Telemundo 15.
