Prominent business owner shares his story of surviving coronavirus

One of our valley's most prominent business-owners and philanthropists is sharing his emotional story after he and his wife became infected with coronavirus.

Raju Mehta is the owner of "El Paseo Jewelers" in Palm Desert.

Mehta says his wife was recently admitted to the icu after she became gravely sick from the virus and nearly died.

"This sickness is so bad, that when your loved ones are crying on the other end, you cannot even wipe their tears and if they are dying, you cannot even hold their hand or comfort them," Mehta said.

The Mehtas are both recovering now and feeling much better.

Mehta talks about his life-changing ordeal in an exclusive interview with News Channel 3's Peter Daut tonight at 6:30 p.m. on Fox and CBS.
