Deputies seek suspect in an armed carjacking

CARJACKING

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is searching for a suspect in an armed carjacking this afternoon in the east valley.

Deputy Robyn Flores, RSO's public information officer, said at approximately 4:02 p.m., an unknown male approached a vehicle on Harrison Street and Avenue 77 in Oasis. The suspect held the driver at gunpoint and stole the vehicle.

The victim was not injured during the robbery.

Flores said the vehicle had a tracker in it and deputies were able to locate it, however, the suspect was not found.
