Police investigate Indio shooting

Police were investigating a shooting in Indio that happened just before 11:23 p.m Thursday on the 80700 block of Canyon Trail Street between Youngs Lane and Madison Street.

Video from a social media app captured the sounds of gunshots and showed police putting yellow markers out and investigating shell casings on the ground.

Indio Police Spokesman say there were no injuries, no property damage to property, and no identified suspects.

Neighbors say this is not the first shooting they have heard in the area recently.

Police tell KESQ News Channel 3 they did receive several calls about shootings last week, but were not given many details by potential witnesses.
