Anza woman found dead, man arrested for murder
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is investigating the homicide of a 58-year-old Anza woman, identified as Cherie Mae Lanzisera.
According to a news release from the department, deputies arrived at a home on Mitchell Road in the unincorporated area of Anza just after 3:00 Sunday morning for a "call of a female suffering from a gunshot wound."
Deputies say they found Lanzisera dead when they arrived.
"In the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested." the release stated. "Trent Allen Lightfoot, 50 years old, resident of Anza, was arrested for murder."
