Victorville man arrested in connection with Palm Springs jewelry store robbery, 2nd suspect wanted
Police arrested a suspect in a robbery at a jewelry store in downtown Palm Springs earlier this month.
One of the two suspects was arrested Thursday morning in Victorville. Police said they executed a search warrant at his residence, where they recovered evidence related to the crime.
The 33-year-old Victorville resident faces charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony, the Palm Springs Police Dept. announced.
Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the second suspect in the crime.
He is described as a black male adult, approximately 6’0” tall, 180-220 pounds, last seen wearing a camouflage-style head covering, white and neon yellow jacket, tan pants, and yellow shoes.

The robbery happened on Aug. 15 at the Gold Estate Jewelry on S Palm Canyon and Arenas Road.
Police told News Channel 3 that two male suspects entered the store with hammers. It was unclear exactly how much was taken from the store. Our crews at the scene saw the glass at the front of the store was broken out.
Shots were fired during this robbery. Police confirmed that shots were fired inside by an employee, however, the circumstances surrounding what led to the shooting were under investigation
There were no injuries in the shooting.
The suspects fled the scene on foot prior to officers' arrival.
