Beaumont Police Officer arrested after allegations of sexual misconduct
An officer with the Beaumont Police Department was arrested following allegations of sexual misconduct.
Diego Francisco Sanchez, 35, was arrested on Monday on Orange Avenue, according to county jail records.
The Beaumont Police Department confirmed Sanchez was arrested by the Riverside County Sheriff's Office. BPD spokesperson Marcedes Cashmer added that he was relieved of his duties before his arrest.

"On February 13, 2024, an off-duty City of Beaumont Police Officer was arrested by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department for allegations of sexual misconduct. Prior to his arrest, the police officer was relieved of all duties and is no longer an employee of the City of Beaumont. For further details regarding this criminal investigation and the arrest, please contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office."

Sanchez is facing multiple charges, including rape, assault with intent to rape, false imprisonment, and oral copulation, according to jail records.
Jail records show that Sanchez is free on $55,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on March 27.
